Imagine having a stomach pain that you figured would subside in a few hours or a day at most, and then having to suffer from it for the next 10 years.

That was the case with Rhonda Gessners sister. She began having pain in her stomach which would end up lasting 10 years and wouldnt be able to be explained by anyone. Turns out a extremely common ingredient in food was to blame.

An avid blogger on health related issues, Rhonda decided to post the story of her sister and the unexplained illness which had plagued her for years. Eventually a question was posed to her sister which would prove to be a major turning point.

Here was a blog post by Rhonda:

“In October of 2001, my sister started getting very sick She had stomach spasms and she was having a hard time getting around. Walking was a major chore. It took everything she had just to get out of bed; she was in so much pain.”

Twenty-four medications, numerous tests and biopsies, and still no cause could be determined. Finally they decided it must be Multiple Sclerosis.

Rhonda began to put things in order for her sister who she believed was going to pass on soon as she was diagnosed with MS. But then she asked her sister a question. She asked her sister if by chance she was drinking diet soda, as Rhonda had received an email a friend had sent her.

Yes she was, her sister replied. Matter of fact, she was about to crack open a cold one as they spoke. Rhonda reacted quickly:

“I told her not to open it, and to stop drinking the diet soda! I e-mailed her an article my friend, a lawyer, had sent. My sister called me within 32 hours after our phone conversation and told me she had stopped drinking the diet soda AND she could walk! The muscle spasms went away.”

The sister brought the article to her doctor, explaining how she had suddenly felt incredibly better upon ceasing the consumption of diet soda. The doctor was shocked. He was now going to ask all of his MS patients if they too were consuming diet soda. The true culprit could be aspartame poisoning.

Aspartame poisoning may have the following symptoms:
Stomach pain, muscles spasms, breathlessness, confusion, chronic fatigue syndrome, and memory loss. Check out this video to learn about the side effects.

Remember all of those 24 different medications Rhonda was taking? She was now able to get off all of them. She only took one pill now which was related to aspartame poisoning.

Here are common foods that aspartame is found in: Diet soda, sugar-free products, drink powders, flavored water, chewing gum, yogurt, cereal, cooking sauces, table sweeteners, and children’s medicine.

Finally there are companies who are getting rid of aspartame and labeling their products aspartame free.

For the first time in a long time, Rhondas sister was actually able to take a trip without the use of a wheelchair. This happened only 32 hours after she stopped drinking diet soda, ceasing the consumption of the dangerous ingredient, aspartame. What an amazing turn around! You can see the importance of raising awareness when it comes to aspartame. Please share this story with all your friends and family.
