Cassie Hurley had always dreamed of being a mother, but when she visited the doctor to discuss pregnancy options, she learned some sad news.

She and her husband had been trying to get pregnant for two years, but the couple had no luck. Cassie knew something wasn’t right, so she decided to go to her doctor to see if they had any suggestions for her.

At her weight, the doctors believed it was unlikely she’d ever get pregnant. Devastated by the news, Cassie knew that she had to make a change, and it needed to be right away. She wasn’t going to let this get her down!

By completely overhauling her diet and changing her activity schedule, Cassie was able to lose 170 lbs. over half of her body weight! Now that she has lost the weight, she runs a fitness blog about getting healthy and how her life changed after losing the weight.

When Cassie Hurley married her husband Josh, she wore a size 26 dress and weighed 325 lbs.

“I knew Josh loved me the way I was,” Mrs Hurley told Daily Mail Australia. “But I didn’t feel great on my wedding day. I didn’t feel like a princess.”

After trying for two years to get pregnant with no success, Cassie’s doctor pointed out that her weight could be what was keeping her from getting pregnant.

Due to some medical issues, an underactive thyroid, and polycystic ovaries, Cassie had difficulties her whole life with losing weight.

But she was persistent in her desire to get pregnant, so she cut sugar from her diet and slashed her portions in half by using side dish plates to eat off of. She started working out 5 to 6 days a week.

Her biggest issue when it came to food were her portion sizes. She knew she was eating a lot more than she needed to be, and that is where the side dishes came into help.

Cassie is now a mom of two and is close to meeting the goal weight she’s always wanted, having lost 170 lbs.already!

Now, Cassie manages her own Instagram account, Losing_ It_Loving_It, where she posts about her weight loss journey and the daily motivations she uses to meet her goals!
